We are the St. Germaine’s

We are a Native and woman-led artificial intelligence consulting firm. Our CEO is Dr. Rebecca St. Germaine, mother to Ricky and Mark St. Germaine, and wife to Dr. Rick St. Germaine. We are all enrolled tribal members of the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe. With a family of PhD’s, we will refer to each other by our first names.

Rebecca St. Germaine, PhD, and CEO, is a largely successful tribal healthcare administrator, experienced in troubleshooting tribal clinics and overhauling billing structures to massively increase public health revenue. With over 35 years of experience in the healthcare industry and just as many years interacting between federal, state, and tribal governments, her ability to see big picture, to intuitively understand the best paths forward, and to train others in healthcare administration have allowed her unique perspectives desired among all tribal health and human services.

Ricky St. Germaine, PhD, Chief Data Scientist, and financial investor. Ricky specializes in artificial intelligence methods programming, fitting models to data through machine learning, applying real-world data to create predictions for up-to-date decision making, and creating solutions to tribal problems through the use of data. As a data engineer, his cloud computing hosts bots to automate many processes from data collection through reporting. His bots are currently automating cryptocurrency trades based on the historical data through a variety of strategies, automating calendar task prioritization, creating blog posts, generating art through neural networks, generating synthetic data, and automating reports in real-time. With tribal and data sovereignty, data access issues will be a thing of the past.

Mark St. Germaine, BS, CDA, Data Scientist, and financial investor. Mark has applied his background in biology to data science and has experience in computational bioinformatics. His programming skills are essential to our data warehousing methods. Both brothers, Mark and Ricky, will primarily run the data front-end development and the back-end programming.

Rick St. Germaine, PhD, Professor Emeritus, Tribal Historian, and Grants Manager. Rick has a vast background in tribal leadership and education systems. As the grant manager, historian, project developer, outreach specialist, etc…, his ability to create tribal programs are endless. One of the biggest problems in tribal data sovereignty is access to data created within our borders, then it is stored in other governing bodies, state and federal. Creating data structures on the reservation will solve these issues and keep the power of our data back within our borders.

Conclusion

When you work with St Germaine Data Innovations, you'll get the benefits of all of our collective expertise - and if you choose, the ability to work with our tribal experts that also share our values.
